This place was referred by a super-friendly cashier at Smith's (Lehi) named Travis - thanks Travis!! We finally made it to this place tonight. We gravitated towards the Bento Box section of the menu, as it gave us a lot of options to try a handful of entrees. For dinner prices it was excellent too! We had: General Tso chicken, orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp, Lo mein, Ham fried rice, Mongolian beef, California rolls, and I also had to throw in a separate order of Dragon roll. We were pretty blown away with their Mongolian beef - it's seriously the best we have ever eaten. ANYWHERE. The beef is super fresh, and not one piece of fat or grizzle. The flavor was superb! It's prob my most FAV! The general tso and orange chicken were also fantastic - you can tell it's made fresh, and it had the right amount of batter to it. Lo mein was also impressive, particularly that they don't put too much cabbage in there (we like more noodles than cabbage!) so this was a HIT for us! Most Chinese restaurants have more cabbage than noodles in their Lo Mein, but not here! California roll and dragon roll were as expected - and they also had the option of having light soy sauce (aka low sodium) - also another sign that this place is doing it right. I had the privilege of meeting the owner, Walter. He is super personable, kind, relatable, and was just fun to have a conversation with! We gave him some feedback on the food and was super appreciative and just plain GENUINE. He really made you feel that he appreciated us as customers. In addition, our server was super attentive (Elissa or Elizabeth?) and had good feedback in regards to the food. Will def come back here and it has become one of our FAVS here in Utah County!
This was some of the best Chinese food we’ve ever had. Piping hot, soft real chicken, amazing sauces. The staff was so nice and prompt. Try the pon pon chicken, you will not be disappointed. Also got orange chicken, general tso, coconut curry. Loved it!
Fong's has been around for quite a number of years, but they recently sold to new owners. It is still great Chinese food!!! Fragrant smells, lots of food choices, ample serving sizes, quick service, very friendly and knowledgeable servers. And the restaurant is very clean! We enjoyed 6 fried shrimps for appetizers. Egg drop soup and Hot and Sour soup before the entree. Then we enjoyed three different Bento Boxes. I ordered Moo Goo Gai Pan (chicken and mushroom in delicious white sauce) Hubby ordered Kung Pao Chicken (Hot & spicy) Family member ordered General Tso Chicken ( deep fried, sweet and spicy). All of them were delish! You will be happy and satisfied if you go her to eat!
Great spot! Very clean. Staff members were super friendly and attentive. We loved everything we ordered, especially the pickled cabbage with fish and cumin lamb. Would definitely come back. Highly recommend.
This is the best Chinese place I have tried in a while. Their food is full flavor and very authentic, great portion sizes and not pricey at all. I recommend the fried lamb w cumin, scallion pancake, and my wife got the sweet and sour chicken! We will definitely be back!
Fong Asian Dining in American Fork is a hidden gem! The food is delicious, with fresh ingredients and bold flavors that truly stand out. From the sushi rolls to the stir-fry dishes, everything was cooked to perfection. What really made our experience unforgettable was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming us with warm smiles and going above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. They were attentive without being overbearing and offered great recommendations from the menu. If you’re looking for a place with great food and an even better atmosphere, Fong Asian Dining is a must-visit! We’ll definitely be coming back soon!
Wow, this was a very good Dining experience! My wife and I had a bento box, she had the sesame chicken I had the coconut curry chicken. We also ordered fried beef cumin. It was outstanding, really enjoyed it. Highly recommend! I will mention that with the fried beef cumin, all of the dried red chilies that were diced up, Did a part a good flavor, but was a challenge to eat because there were so many had to set them aside and you really couldn't chew them, but the flavor of the dish overall was fantastic.
Food has always been great. I've gone for almost decade now (started when they operated out of the 50s diner a black away). They dont have a ton of servers so service can get slow understandably, but the food is usually made quickly once ordered and it tastes so good. It doesn't taste like syrups or anything. Never had a bad food experience.
